About Me: My wife and I have lived in the north-east corner of Fountain Valley for nearly 15 years. We have two children in the Fountain Valley Public schools. For the past 23 years I supported my family by creating software for the commercial print field.
About My Candidacy: The fiscal mess the reason for my candidacy. Back in the early 1980s when I was in high school I worried that endless spending was going to bankrupt the country. When I ran for FVCC more than a decade ago, my motto was “Vote for simplicity in office” because I worried that the endless spending was going to bankrupt the city, county and state.
My message was timely and correct, but too early to be understood.
Having two children in grade school, I want to be sure we (as a society) do not leave a bankrupt mess to our children. Adults should not create massive debts and expect their children to pay. Starting at the local level and extending all the way to Washington, government must shrink to fit the tax base. The process will be painful, but it is not impossible.
